mi corazón (found poem)
Open, I asked. Open, I asked. Open, I asked. I opened. I opened. I opened.
These buildings[...] cage the spirit and baby your spirit was meant to be free.
[I’m] one of the lucky ones.
My love.
Mi rey.
Mi vida.
The reason why I don’t mind sharing a bed with someone.
Beneath the stars.
Free like palabras sagradas que salen de tu boca.
Desperately, furiously happy.
There ain’t no relationship in the world that doesn’t hit turbulence.
Overwhelmed by a pelagic sadness.
Knowing that in Gardena the brown boy with the chocolate eyes.
You leave the sad girl with the tired red eyes.
That’s more or less when you know.
He’s not yours.
You didn’t think anything could hurt so bad.
We fall asleep without kissing.
I wake up and he’s gone.
Singing and singing.
Your footprints [forever] in my heart.
I will stay here in this cage.
My body will forever be your home to come to.
